Open Letter!
To All Citizens of Salt Lake
County Council District 2
Voter
Information for 2004
If you are not a registered
voter, please consider becoming one:
Be a part of the
solution not the problem.
Register today and vote November 2. 2004.
A large
percentage of people now living in District 2 have moved within the
last few years. You may be one of the many who have failed to
reregister to vote as required. This could be less than a happy
feeling when you are turned away at the polls on November 2, 2004.
You still have time to act and since this election will include some
very important matters to all, please do so today.
If you have
Internet access you can find links to register to vote on many
political and Government sites such as
www.personalchoice.org or
www.slco.org
As a third party
candidate my desire is to bring to the polls the non-voting
majority. Our voices, if we use them, would help return many of our
lost freedoms, such as:
1.
Freedom from Utah’s concealed weapons laws.
2.
Freedom from the fear of accidents caused by lunatic drivers.
3.
Freedom from billboards in residential areas.
4.
Freedom to use our money as we see fit. LOTTERY, BINGO
5.
Freedom from exorbitant taxes, ( food, gas, property).
6.
Freedom from lawmakers that put their religious rules into
governmental laws so ALL citizens are required to comply with their
religious teachings.
7.
Freedom from archaic liquor laws caused by #6 above.
8. Freedom
from selective law enforcement.
The time has
come for all-apathetic, disenfranchised non-voting citizens to act
and make their voices heard. By voting this November we can do
just that. We can return our local, state, and federal government
to the people with liberty and justice for ALL.
Yes, regardless of race, color, creed or sexual orientation.
To end this letter I would like to add a statement by one of our
founding fathers.
All, too, will bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the
will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be
right must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal
rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be
oppression.
THOMAS JEFFERSON
