Sarge Froehle Political Info:

Who are you as a candidate?

I am an honest people oriented candidate. As a retired Army Sergeant I have 22 years of experience working with public budgeting. As a small farm owner, here in District 22 for the past 20 years, I am familiar with the needs of the constituents of our community.

Why were you willing to run for office?

To advocate for a change; change toward the personal freedoms which is of our heritage in the Western United States.

What do you feel you offer the voters in your race?

I provide an opportunity to cast a vote for change. A change away from the current oppressive political system which has been slowly chipping away at the freedoms guaranteed to American citizens by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

What does Personal Choice mean to you?

The freedom to act and take responsibility based on my own personal values; not values imposed by an outside authority.

Personal Choice is the freedom to act in a way that is free from a socially imposed morality and taking responsibility for how those actions affect others. Socially imposed morality is often informed by religious ideologies. The Constitution of the United States guarantees freedom of religion.

What issues are most important to you?

The most important issue is change. I am a candidate for change. A vote for either a Republican or a Democrat is a vote for the status quo. It is a vote for more wasted government spending and less personal freedom. A vote for personal choice is a vote for change.

I am tired of the government wasting millions of dollars in tax payer money every year that has left districts such as ours with a drug problem. The prohibition of recreational drug use, much like alcohol prohibition nearly 100 years ago, imposes a social morality rather than holding people responsible for their actions. Recreational drug use is a personal choice which implies personal responsibility. Rather than wasting millions of dollars of tax payer’s dollars to fund “the drug war”, we should enforce laws that regulate the irresponsible behavior that often stems from drug and alcohol use. When a drug or alcohol user infringes on the liberty of another person they should be prosecuted for the crime committed. For example, when a parent neglects a child due to excessive drug use, they may be charged with child neglect, or when a drug user steals to support a habit they can be charged with theft or burglary, or when a drug seller does not declare their income they may be charged with tax evasion.

How would you apply Personal Choice to the issues you mentioned?

Put it on the Front Page.

In what matters do you feel you should have more Personal Choice rather than Government involvement?

All matters involving personal liberty and freedom.
